The philosophy the approach is based on is very ideal. It makes leaders look back and evaluate themselves, and construct professional relationship between a boss and direct reports. However, Hills managing style is just one of many different kinds. One must not accept this style as an absolute management notion, but as just one option out of many different styles he or she must learn to incorporate. A charismatic, even somewhat authoritarian, leadership can be effective depending on a situation. Not one managing style can cope with all kinds of situations arising within an organization, even with Hills leadership strategies. I believe a combination of different management styles is essential.
