Laminar flow is a fluid regime characterized by high momentum diffusion and low momentum convection.
Transition
Laminar → Turbulent
Turbulent Flow
Turbulence or turbulent flow is a fluid regime characterized by low momentum diffusion, high momentum convection, and rapid variation of pressure and velocity in space and time.
1. Turn on the water supply
2. open the discharge valve partially at the base of the apparatus.
3. Adjust the water supply until the level in the constant head tank is just above the overflow pipe.
(It should be maintained at this level.)
