1. Situation Analysis
1) Institutional constraints: A middle school in Daejeon, Korea
- The school is located in a small new town, where most of the students live. Many of their parents are engaged in official duties, and recognize well the importance of their children’s education.
- The school was designated for the English specialized school by Deajeon Education Office. Given the financial support from the Office, the school is well equipped for English teaching and learning, such as classrooms only for English classes, language labs, lap tops, touch-screen televisions, etc.
