His father was railroader, so he was interested in technology civilization and the mysteries of nature .
In German-speaking countries, he started his work as a research worker of Goethe.
From 1900s he worked in Theosophical Society and used the method of mental science, called ‘Anthroposophia’ to 1912.
In 1913, he withdrew from the society and established the Association anthroposophy. Also he set up the first ‘Goetheanum’ in Donauch and during this time, he created ‘Eu-rythmie’ which is an expressive movement art.
In 1918, the beginning of Die deutsche Revolution, he gave many lectures on the social problem.
In 1919, he founded the first free Waldorf school in Stuttgart , Germany and in 1926, Elizabeth Greenlees, who was deeply impressed by his lecture founded and managed the first Waldorf kindergarten in Stuttgart.
In 1925, he died of serious ill in the same year.
