본 조는 이처럼 우리의 생활과 아주 밀접하게 연관되어 있는 가장 기본적인 행위인 식사 행위에 착안하여 명지대학교 학생들이 학교에 머무는 동안 어떻게 식사를 해결하며 식사할 때 가장 고려하는 사항이 무엇인지 등을 교내 및 학교 주변 음식점 이용(외식)실태와 음식점 선호도 조사를 통해 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 통해 명지대학교 학생들 특히, 새내기들에게 학교 주변 음식점에 대한 유용한 정보를 제공하고 나아가 학교 주변 음식점 창업을 하고자 하는 창업 ․ 투자자들에게 명지대학교 학생들이 선호하는 음식점의 특징, 자주 오가는 지역 등의 정보를 제공하려 한다.
