    1. Topic
    Understanding Logistic Information System by analyzing AIRCIS (Air Cargo Information System in Incheon Int’l Airport)

    2. Background
    There are some reasons for choosing this topic. First, an airport needs systematic (organized) transporting control. In airport, lots of freight is moved to different places. Thus, transportation system needs efficiency to distribute and convey those freights. Second, since there are so many trades between countries, the procedure of transportation is much more complicated than others. Sharing information about freight and its transfer procedure is essential in the airport. If it is not sufficient, trade conflict can be caused because of different related law in transportation between the countries.
    Incheon international airport is one of the biggest international airports in the world. As it is taking a role of hub in transportation in Korea, information uncertainty will increase. Also, its process will become complicated. However, if it is able to integrate all the information system and manage it appropriately, it will be absolutely effective for industry.
    Our team searched Information System in Incheon Airport. By the search, we found out that Incheon airport provides AIRCIS service since 2007. It is a system that connects each subject which use transport service by airplane to eliminate miscommunication between companies.
