1. Reason of Choice & Market Situation
Market Situation
More demands of Smart phones, SNS began to emerge, and users of SNS are growing rapidly. The most widely used SNS in Korea is Cyworld, and recently, growing prevalence of the use of smart phones makes growth rates of Facebook and Twitter more sharply. The most largely activated SNS in the world is Facebook, and also Twitter is growing. In case of Korea, Cyworld, Naver's me2day, and Daum's Yozeum are competing.

Reason of Choice
Maybe everyone in class knows Cyworld, because we all use or used it. So we thought it's quite a familiar and interesting topic for us. In addition, we're going to mention Facebook a lot in our project, and Facebook is also a well-known service to us nowadays. Issues related to Cyworld and Facebook are relatively recent, and interesting because we're part of users of them. We are trying to identify the exact problems of Cyworld, find out what it missed and what's changed in user's needs, figure out why Facebook succeeds and Cyworld is in decline continually. And then, we're going to seek what Cyworld needs to satisfy the users, the ways to solve the problems Cyworld faces, and some new ideas to revive Cyworld.

2. Company Analysis
Introduction of Cyworld
Cyworld is a South Korean social network service operated by SK Communications a subsidiary of SK Telecom. Members cultivate relationships by forming: Ilchonor "friendships" with each other through their minihompy. Avatars and "mini-rooms",small, decorate-able, apartment-like spaces in an isometric projection, also feature. All of this can make for a The Sims-like experience. The "Cy" in Cyworld could mean "cyber" but is also a pun on the Korean word for relationship. Revenue is generated through the sale of dotori or acorns, which can then be used to purchase virtual goods, such as background music, pixelated furniture, and virtual appliances. Cyworld also has operations in China and Vietnam.
